Data Filter Tool Add-in Update

March 11, 2008 – 7:05 pm by JP

Here is the screenshot of the Data Filter Tool I promised (sorry it’s late!):

I have been doing a lot of testing, refining the code, etc.. and it seems to be working well. I expect to release this add-in within the next week after some final testing.

Enjoy,
JP

  2. Looks good! How will it deal with formulas and formatting? Say I have some values that have been generated using formulas, is there an option to move them as values only, or as formulas with full formatting?

  3. Good point Mary. It isn’t really intended for moving formulas, I’ll have to test it and decide if I want to add that functionality. Formatting should be unaffected, but again I’ll have to test that as well.

    Thx,

  4. Mary, I checked and it copies over formatting, but the formulas are pasted as values. I decided I’m going to leave it that way (for now) and maybe create a new sorting/filtering routine in the future if the data contains formulas.
