And a warm welcome — Willkommen — Welkom — Bienvenue — Bem-vindo — Benvenuti — Mabuhay — Bienvenidos — Velkommen — Välkommen — to all the lurkers in 174 different countries who visited this site during this time. Thanks for visiting!
So far there are 230 blog posts and nearly 780 comments. I've streamlined the categories, so you should only see posts in one or maybe two categories at most.
As usual, the most popular pages were the blog homepage, the Excel VBA page and the Outlook VBA page.
The Random Data Generator continues to be a hit, thanks to the kind words (dare I say "endorsements"?) from the following individuals:
Mike Alexander
Dick Kusleika
Bob Phillips
The .NET version is still forthcoming.
Top Referral Sources (in no particular order):
- Jon Peltier's PTS Blog
- Chandoo and Pointy Haired Dilbert
- Sue Mosher's Outlook Code site
- Daily Dose of Excel
- Debra Dalgleish and her Contextures blog
- Mike Alexander's blog
- Excel VBA Macro
- John Walkenbach's Spreadsheet Page
- NewtonExcelBach
- Excel Guru Ken Puls
Some new friends this quarter include:
- Ajay from Databison
- Patrick Wood of Access Tips fame
I was also pleased to contribute to Andrew Engwirda's JMT Excel Utilities. A review is coming shortly.
Add-Ins
I tried to save some bandwidth by moving all the images to Photobucket and the workbooks to Amazon S3 storage. As I've found the hard way, this leads to hotlinking, and I'm too busy creating content (among other things) to research a solution. The images will stay on Photobucket, but the add-ins and other files were moved back. There's a simple referrer block, so if you try to download the files and have a problem, make sure you are on this site first. If it still doesn't work, contact me and I'll fix it.
I'm also considering removing my add-ins from download.com, as that seems to encourage other sites to take the files and offer them for download without permission.
